Brunei and the UAE

Brunei and the UAE are both beautiful countries. In this essay I am going to compare and contrast two countries, Brunei and the UAE.

There are several similarities between these two countries. Both have the same religion, Islam and a lot of people live in both countries and each has a large expatriate population. In addition, most people think that both countries are beautiful and green with lots of parks and trees. Furthermore, both countries have huge modern towers, modern airports and well-developed infrastructures.

Although they have some similarities, there are many differences. First and most obvious is size. The UAE has an area of 185,180 square kilometers while Brunei is only 11,437 square kilometers. A further difference is the currency. In UAE they use the dirham, whereas the currency of Brunei is the ringgit. Another difference is climate. The weather in Brunei is much better than the UAE because it is rainy and less humid .Brunei's unique houses protects them from the rains. Furthermore, the roads are quieter in Brunei, which is less busy. A final difference is education.

Both countries are interesting countries to visit, safe and there are many comfortable places you can stay and enjoy. The UAE is my country and I like it so much. Despite this I prefer to live in Brunei for several reasons and the most important one is I like adventure and that is a good chance for me to do it. Also the weather is very nice especially if it is rainy because I like rain very much.

How olive oil is made

Producing olive oil is a fairly long and difficult process but if you follow these steps you should produce an excellent quality.

First, the olives are harvested by hand or with sticks and rakes in amid of September and December. Second they are collected on nets beneath the trees. Next, leaves and small stones are removed and the olives are run through a washer to remove any impurities before crushing. After that, within 24-36 hours of picking, the olives are crushed by granite millstones. Then, the olive paste obtained is layered on mats which are put under pressure from a screw or hydraulic press. After that, the liquid produced is collected and put through a centrifugal separator to separate the water and impurities from the oil. Finally, after centrifugation, the oil is obtained.

As you see making olive oil is really long and difficult procedure, but if follow the above steps very carefully you will produce perfect high-quality olive oil.

Reflection 2 process and compare and contrast esaays

English lesson 125 in the writing section is easy and at the same time hard in some ways. I learnt writing procedure and Compare and contrast.

The writing process was easy, but nothing is easy without practice .It’s a good thing to learn new thing and developing my writing to the next step that is one of the many reasons which let me feel confident in this type of writing. also I must write around 150 words in present simple (passive voice) sequences linking words such as first, second ,next…etc .I faced some difficulties in linking words such as the, a tie in beginning and middle of the sentences , also at the same time I should add some more words from my knowledge to get completed sentences and must the verbs to be in past participle with is for single and are for plural adding before them .In addition, I should concentrate on when the flow chart starts and follow until the end to put the steps in the right order and that was a little hard because sometimes you can mix that by putting one order before the other and when you continue you will get the whole procedure wrong in the order of steps.

However, compare and contrast essay is the most difficult one because I must discover the similarities and differences between two things and write about it logically supported by reasons. The essay contains introduction about three sentences, at least 3 or 4 similarities discussion, at least 3 or 4 differences discussion and a conclusion you should say what you prefer and in the same no need to be negative against one side .The main problem when I write I must think how to make this compare and contrast attractive to the reader and connected with how much information I have, by writing about 200 words. But, as I said, with more practice you will achieve your goal.

I would like to learn more from Mr. Hedley and I want to thank him for his help and encouraging me a lot until I reached my goal. In the end of this course I want to thank every single one for any help I got from him.
